EWTN Backstage Appearance
The Band and I traveled to Birmingham, AL last year (courtesy of Heartbeat Records)to record mini-concert for EWTN. We just got news that it will air on 4/4 at 10:30 pm (Central Time.) Tune in!
Off the Road for a Bit...

El Paso
We made the long trek to El Paso this weekend for an awesome Confirmation retreat. 200 of the coolest teens you've seen showed up and were great! St. Matthew's LifeTeen has got it going on! It's amazing that you can travel 11 hours in one direction and still be in the same state. If I lived in New England still that would like driving through 4-5 states...
My Brother is here!
Haven't seen my brother Tim in a while and he and his wife just made the 20 hour trek down from DC. They are the Godparents for our newest baby, Judea Rose, who we finally got baptized! Family is good!
New Songs for CHRHP
Got a simple recording done of a couple of songs for a great new retreat program called CHRHP (Christ Renews His Parish). Included was a new one I wrote for Advent called "Prepare the Way." It seems to be working pretty well and will probably be on the new CD.
Hanging with Mediatrix
I am in snowy Michigan now hanging out with an awesome new Catholic record company! Mark Cabrera and his wife converted several years ago and Mark has brought his secular music business expertise into the Catholic church! Praised be Jesus Christ! Mediatrix is going places....watch for them!
Bishop Sample
All I can say is "wow!" I am hanging out with the youngest Diocesan bishop in the US and tons of on fire Catholic youth from the Diocese of Marquette, MI. This Bishop is awesome! He is so on fire, so in love with the young people and so true to the Catholic faith! It truly is beautiful to see a Bishop that leads with such conviction! Shoutouts to Larry, the awesome Lifeteen musician from St. Pete's in Marquette, to Greg the diocesan youth director and to all the wonderful teens and chaperones I have met here...
Crazy Drive!
It was nuts! Texas boy goes to Michigan in the winter.... I left Saline, MI in freezing rain and was trying to drive 7 hours to a youth rally in Marquette, MI, right on Lake Superior. I got about halfway (Gaylord, MI) and the snow was so bad I couldn't see 50' in front of me. A log truck overturned near Gaylord and they cosed the highway. Ended up sleeping in the tour van wrapped in double sleeping bags in 15 degree weather. Crazy! I started out again in the morning and finally made it across the Mackinaw bridge and then onto Marquette-arrived after 12 hours of driving! Once I made it into the UP I saw more snowmobiles than cars-it was cold, treacherous but absolutely breathtakingly beautiful...
